Leiria, Portugal with the Castelo de Leiria and a visit to the M|I|MO - O m|i|mo - museu da imagem em movimento
Leiria is a city and capital of the Região de Leiria subregion, which belongs to the Central Portugal Region and Leiria District in the Beira Litoral Historical Area.
It is the seat of the county of Leiria, with an area of 565.09 km² divided into 18 municipalities.
The county borders Pombal County to the north, Ourém to the east, Batalha and Porto de Mós to the south, Alcobaça to the southwest, Marinha Grande to the west and the Atlantic Ocean to the northwest.
Since 2019, the city has been the recipient of the UNESCO "City of Music" award, making it the second city in Portugal to hold this title. (after Amarante 2017).

Museum was founded in 1996 on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of cinema in Portugal. A wonderful exhibition worth seeing.
